What I believe:
-
The world is full of endless possibilities, adventures, and memories that will last a lifetime. That’s why my advice when it comes to travel is: let your heart guide you. Me and my mom always say everything will line up just right when the trip is meant to be. Flights, bookings, timing, locations, and rentals will all fall properly into place when it’s truly the right trip!
Be smart, travel on a budget, and let the trip be enjoyable. Don’t over-plan your inventory. And remember, travel isn’t just about visiting a new place – it’s about enriching yourself through the foods, cultures, traditions, landmarks, and embracing curiosity along the way.
-
When it comes to promoting a wholesome lifestyle that is uplifting, meaningful, and positive, I believe it comes down to being mindful of what you choose to engage with in your free time. Focusing on content that is creative, clean, and uplifting will strengthen your self-discipline and build your personal character. This, in turn, will fortify the person YOU want to be.
Having values and standards makes you a stronger individual, I promise you that! So, by being selective in what you allow to entertain you, you’ll become the person you aspire to be. Because just like knowledge and curiosity are power, so is standing firm in your beliefs and sticking to them.
-
Albert Einstein once said, "The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing." I wholeheartedly agree with him. Being curious and always asking questions is what drives us to learn, grow, and find the good in the diverse world around us.

My mom actually helped me come up with the name during one of our brainstorming sessions, and it just stuck. The name draws on the word “flour” as a staple of life—something that sustains growth and development. The “pot” portion, to me, represents the vessel that allows something to lay roots, grow, and flourish.
With all that, Flour & Pots became the name of this website—a space built on everything good and nourishing that promotes growth, joy, longevity, health, happiness, and wholeness. Because a good life starts with a solid foundation: learning, eating well, and always staying curious.

When it comes to cooking, trying something new, and creating tasty (but still healthy-ish) meals, I focus on using fresh, seasonal ingredients. You know—those healthy, whole, natural items just waiting to be used up from your fridge, freezer, pantry, or garden.
I simply like to build meals around whatever’s in abundance: fruits, vegetables, herbs, leafy greens, nuts, seeds, natural sweeteners, grains, oats, beans, dairy, etc.—whatever we have on hand and needs to be used up. I hate wasting food, so my inspiration often starts with a simple idea:
What can I create that’s healthier, nutrient-rich, easier on the digestive system, tastier, and uses up that food that’s running out of time in the house? 😊
And that’s how all those crazy, yummy food ideas I cook up come to life!

I feel like I’ve only seen a small portion of the world, so my answer to this question doesn’t feel entirely fair or comprehensive—especially considering how vast and exciting the world truly is.
That being said, two of my favorite places I’ve visited so far are:
Florida – with its lush, tropical beauty; its closeness to classic, exciting theme parks; and the contrast between warm sunshine and intense afternoon thunderstorms.
France – with its stunning, charming architecture that's so well preserved and showcased throughout the country; pastries that are to die for without being overly sweet; and honestly, it’s one of the easiest countries to travel around—it feels comfortable and welcoming for tourists. 😊
All I know is there are so many more places I want to visit, so these favorites might change as I keep exploring our beautiful world!

I’ve always been drawn to learning about health and nutrition. So when I was in college, studying website development and the importance of having a digital marketing presence, that’s when I really started to think about creating a well-rounded lifestyle blog—a space to share my knowledge and inspire others to live better, too.
With my marketing background, I got to work building a fun place where readers can explore, learn, and grow in all aspects of their lives. Then I paired that with my health and nutrition background to share some yummy recipes to fuel your journey and help you keep growing too!

Simple & Fresh
I love so many foods, but one of my favorite go-to dinners is a cheese, bean, and spinach green-smothered enchilada. There’s something so comforting about how warm and gooey it is, especially when paired with fresher sides like avocado, crisp lettuce, and my favorite sauce that I always keep on hand—chipotle cilantro ranch. When it comes to cooking, I especially love to focus my style on the healthier Southwest, California, French, and Italian-style cooking, and you’ll see those flavors and influences shine through in many of my recipes here on Flour & Pots! 😊

Flavor Mapping
My favorite part about traveling is trying new foods. I love spending the months leading up to a trip searching maps, browsing menus, and diving into everything in between to uncover those hidden-gem spots and unforgettable bites. Trying new foods also sparks my creativity to create those one-of-a-kind health focused recipes I hope you’ll love to cook in your own home—bringing you a culinary staycation you can enjoy all year long. 😊

Thoughtful Books
I’ve never been the fastest reader, but I truly love diving into a good book. There’s something special about setting aside the worries and demands of life and becoming immersed in a new world—one filled with creativity, meaningful stories, and a sense of adventure. I like books that are uplifting, clean, and grounded in strong morals, values, and character. When I read stories that contribute to my focus on a well-balanced life, they shape me into someone who can pour more goodness into the world around me—and create things that add value to your lives, too. 😊
